Custard is fresh and so is the ice. My favorite is the gelati with vanilla custard and fruit punch ice! Looks to be family owned and the prices are VERY reasonable! There's alot of outside seating and staff are friendly. The cow is always a go to multiple times during the summer for sure!

You can't not like The Cow. It's just not possible! Spring, Summer, or Fall offer the perfect reason to stop at the Cow and enjoy a cool treat! Are they open in winter? We haven't visited Maryland in winter, so I'm not really sure. I almost always order the same thing...the Coconut Almond Chip Italian Ice. The regular size is perfect for me. One word of caution, brain freeze is real. Bring water or some other room temperature beverage to break the freeze! You can't help but enjoy this treat quickly. It's gonna melt. So you're in a quandry. Suffer the brain freeze or watch it melt. My companion ordered the Gelati - the combination of italian ice and custard, with pistachio italian ice and chocolate custard. Of course he says that is THE best. We rarely see a long line. I suppose we just pick the right time of day to stop by. Staff are always personable and deliver the treats to the window in swift fashion. We have been stopping by for years and will continue to do so!!

Great ice cream treats! Friendly staff, and willing to make any changes or extras. Like, I like extra hot fudge on my hot fudge sundae. No problem! Whatever you want.

We were visiting the area for an alpaca show and had to stop. Their custard is fantastic. Very flavorful, well formed, creamy and smooth. They had a nice variety of flavors of custard. We got gelatis- with Italian ice mixed in layers. The ice was so-so. We tried three different flavors. All were ok. Flavor was minimal. Could have been stronger with the fruits and flavors. The biggest issue was the consistency of the ice. This was more frozen crystals than the smoother texture of Italian ice. Not sure if it's always that way or the batch was old and more frozen than normal.

This is our third time here. Came up to this area in August and found The Cow on yelp. Have not been disappointed yet. Delicious and a good selection.

Holly Cow this place is great. Huge selection of treats to choose from. The banana split is enormous and easily enough for four people. The line can be slow but it's definitely worth it.

Everything was so fresh! I could tell that both the custard and the whipped topping were made in store. They also had a lot of options to choose from. Reminded me of a Rita's but a more homemade/family run version. I will be sure to stop here if I am ever in this area again!! I was so excited to eat my sundae that I neglected to take any pictures! That says so much!

I've heard friends talk about it and I was finally able to try it! Absolutely worth it! My kids each had a kid's size twist. My wife and I shared a tongue twister sundae and it was perfect! Would have been too much if we each had our own. I loved the combination of textures and flavors (sweet and salty) from the tongue twister. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

The Cow is by far my favorite place to stop when I am home every summer, my kids beg to go as soon as we cross the Maryland state line. their gelati is the go to treat, sweet Italian ice in a million flavors , topped with your choice of a few custard flavors. Mango with vanilla, banana with chocolate, pistachio with chocolate, black raspberry with vanilla, bubble gum with chocolate/vanilla twist....the combinations are practically endless!! They do take credit/debit cards, but charge you a fee for using it, so cash is the way to go here!!
